(and for all other Club members too) following a TRAIL RIDE to Woodstock Pub in Potapsaco Valley State Park near Marriottsville, Md.  Experienced campers will assist newbies in setting up their own high line or portable corral.  Bathrooms and showers on the grounds of the League of Md Horsemen … please rsvp so we can adequately plan 410-923-6157 …  day riders are welcome too of course … ready to ride 10 am … bring your money or own lunch and a means to tie your horse at the pub. 

We’ll ride along the cooling river to Woodstock Pub for lunch and return to set up our picket lines or portable corrals…experienced horse campers will help the novices…showers and bathrooms on site…fix your own dinner and gather to eat and share trail tales …bring lead line for tying at lunch, $5 / night camp fee, and own horse confinement supplies (call for pre-camp help)…okay to come just for the day…RTR 10:00am…rsvp 410-923-6157…non-LOMH members must rsvp by Thursday as you will be the guest of our club members who are also LOMH members.

Directions traveling west on I-70….take Marriottsville Rd exit…right at top of ramp…cross Rt 99 and continue over the railroad tracks…first left onto Henryton Rd…first drive marked LOMH on right at top of hill…410-215-4979 day of ride

Directions traveling  east on I=70…there is not a direct exit to Marriottsville Rd so take Rt 40 for Ellicott City…turn left at light onto Marriottsville Rd and follow directions above from there.

    • Due to extreme heat called for Friday into Saturday, the Club’s Saturday Trail Ride and Camping is CANCELLED ….

      An informal group may form Sunday am — in the saddle ready to ride 8:00am at the LOMH grounds for an early morning ride … call if interested in coming along — 410-923-6157

      NOVICE HORSE CAMPING will be rescheduled for the first weekend of October … OCTOBER 2-3, 2010 … when our Chesapeake Club joins the LOMH for their Club Invitational Weekend .. more details to follow for registration and plans
