Sugarloaf Mountain Ride (and more!)

Ready to Ride, 10 AM, Saturday, Jun 1, 2013

RSVP Suzanne Anderson at trailsendfarm@verizon.net

IN the saddle absolutely no later than 10:00 a.m. It’s supposed to be hot. Let’s get on the trail smartly at 10:00.

Directions to “Turner Farm” horse trailer parking here: DIRECTIONS LINK

ROCKY ROCKY ROCKY And did I mention it’s rocky?

7 miles around the base of the mountain on the yellow trail TRAIL MAP LINK with a side trip to check on the Sugarloaf Rose. Approx. 2 to 2.5 hours in the saddle.

Lunch at the winery (also marked on the DIRECTIONS LINK map). You’ll pass the winery on the way in to Sugarloaf in the morning. Unfortunately there’s no shaded parking at the winery. It’s all open field. We should be OK with trailer windows and doors open to catch any breeze.

The winery welcomes carry-in picnics, has rest rooms and a lovely selection of wines, and at 2:00 that day there will be live music. See the winery visitors page at  Sugarloaf Mountain Vinyard

I estimate reaching the winery ~1:00 p.m.

See you there!
