***MANASSAS BATTLEFIELD TRAIL RIDESat. Nov. 28… these easy trails are beautifully managed by the Battlefield Equestrian Society and wind their way through woods and fields of this famous Civil War battle park … depending upon the weather, we will ride about 2-3 hours…the Visitor Center has an historical film well worth taking in when you stop for your park pass (be sure to allow ample time please)

Ready to ride 11:00 am
Bring snack for on the trail and lunch at the trailers after, plus water for horses, clean up tools and coggins to carry with you

Parking at the Brownsville Trailer Parking lot on Groveton Rd
$3 per person park fee — pay at the Henry Hill Visitor Center (Rt 234) before proceeding to equestrian parking

In case of rain Saturday ….  Sunday we will ride the dirt roads of Patuxent Research Refuge / North Tract off Rt 198 in Laurel, Md … ready to ride 10:30 … rsvpjacquiecowan@comcast.net / 410-215-4979 … from Rt 32 near Ft Meade and NSA, take Rt 198 for Laurel — pass the treatment plant on right, go over bridge and take first left at sign for Refuge — continue to Ranger Station to check in and get parking directions (no fees)
