Both State Parks are sandy based with wooded and open field trails, easy hills, creek crossings and a few bridges. Easy field parking means no backing or turning around. Day use fees are $3 per vehicle — stop at the self-serve kiosks at park entrances to pay and display the pass in your windshield. Both parks are off Route 301 in Prince George County between Upper Marlboro and Waldorf. Don’t forget Coggins, clean up tools, water – and if camping your own horse care items, portable corral or picket line.
